Step 1
Preheat the oven to 180°C (fan).
Step 2
Place the toffees in a saucepan with 2 tbsp of water over a medium heat and stir continuously with the wooden spoon until melted and combined.
Step 3
Add in the apple wedges, coat evenly in the toffee and cook for a few minutes before transferring to a baking dish.
Step 4
In a mixing bowl, bring the plain flour, butter and demerara sugar together by rubbing it between your fingertips. Once a crumble consistency is achieved, sprinkle the mixture evenly over the top of the toffee apple mixture in the baking dish.
Step 5
Bake for 30 minutes until golden and crisp on top. Serve with vanilla ice cream or custard.
