Double chocolate chip cookies

Method

Step 1

Preheated the oven to 180°C/fan 160°C/gas mark 4. Line two baking trays with baking parchment.

Step 2

Cream together the butter and the sugar until its light and fluffy. Add the egg and continue to beat. Sieve the flour and cocoa powder together and then mix in with the butter and sugar.

Step 3

Divide the mixture into 16 balls and place them on the prepared baking trays with plenty of room between each cookie. Flatten them down slightly with the back of a spoon. Press the chocolate chips into the tops of the cookies.

Step 4

Bake them for 8-12 minutes. When they are cooked leave them for 15 minutes on the tray then transfer to a cooling rack.
