As the temperature rises it is tempting to store more food in the fridge to help it last longer. But there are certain foods that should NEVER be stored in the fridge, and according to a new guide by the Good Housekeeping Institute, bread is one of those.
They say that far from extending its shelf life, bread actually dries out and goes stale much more quickly in the fridge. You don't want that do you? Instead store in a cool dry place. Alternatively if you don't think you'll eat the whole loaf you can always freeze it.
